Account and data deletion
Last updated: September 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of a Workino account and the data attached to it. It is written for both employees and organizations.
1. First, an important point: the account belongs to the organization
Workino has no self-registration. An employee account is created by the employing organization, and the data it accumulates — attendance reports and working hours — are that employer’s records.
In practice this means we can delete an account and its data, but usually only on the instruction of the organization it belongs to. If you come to us directly, we will take it up with the organization and come back to you.
2. If you are an employee
There are two routes, and you can use both:
- Ask your employer — your direct manager, HR, or whoever administers the system where you work. They can deactivate the account or ask us to delete it.
- Write to us directly at [email protected]. We will verify who you are, pass the request to the organization, and come back to you with the outcome.
To let us handle it in one pass, include: your full name, the phone number you sign in with, the name of the employing organization, and exactly what you are asking for — deletion of the account, of particular data, or both.
3. If you are the organization
- A single employee: an organization admin can deactivate them directly in the console. To erase the employee and their data entirely, write to us.
- The whole organization: write from an authorized administrator’s address to [email protected] and we will delete the entire environment.
4. What is erased and what is kept
| What | What happens on deletion |
|---|---|
| Employee details | Erased: name, phone, email, employee number, organizational assignment and permissions. |
| Attendance reports and hours | Erased — unless the employer is required to retain them under labour law, in which case they are kept by the employer for the required period only. |
| Location data | Erased. Even without a deletion request, coordinates are erased automatically at the end of the retention period the organization set. |
| Tasks, notes and correction requests | Erased. |
| Notification tokens and sessions | Erased immediately, and access to the app stops. |
| Audit log | Audit entries are kept for the period the organization configured, so the record stays intact. They contain no location data. |
| Backups | Encrypted backups may hold the data until they rotate out, at most 30 days. |
5. Timescales
- Acknowledgement of your request: within 5 business days.
- Deletion once the organization has confirmed: within 30 days.
- Disappearance from backups: up to a further 30 days.
